"Burnt Ocean"

This sculpture is named Burnt Ocean.

With the work Burnt Ocean, I explore the transformation of material. Through fire, I have attempted to capture the untamable nature of the ocean. The fluid, ever-changing ocean has been pulled from its usual form and frozen into an expression that exudes heat and intensity. The result is a sculpture that unites the fleetingness of the sea with the eternal form of the solid, burnt material.
